Book Acil Durum Barınma Alanında Mekân Tasarım Kılavuzu(TOBB ETÜ Yayınları, 2025) Şenocak, Gülşah; Onaran, Bilge SayılConference Object Adapting New Technological Approaches to Sustainable Art Education using Blockchain and NFT(InSEA Publications, 2023) Ada, Cansu; Karakaya, Ahmet FatihBlockchain is claimed to accomplish for transactions what the Internet did for information. Blockchain is a decentralized, shared, unchangeable, distributed database that comprises blocks that are securely linked together and contain the encrypted function of preceding blocks. Although it originally gained popularity with the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, it has now extended to many other sectors of life. NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are digitally unique, unalterable, and unrepeatable items that are encrypted and recorded in the Blockchain. Several educational institutions are already utilizing Blockchain for the creation, verification, and storage of e-transcripts, certificates, and digital degrees. Blockchain allows individuals to store and share their academic documents in a secure, unchangeable, and transparent way. However, due to its lack of use in the f ield of education, Blockchain and NFT technologies are recommended for use in the teaching of the arts. Art studio courses are one of the most uneven and challenging aspects of art education. Students and teachers must communicate effectively for the art process to be successful. Therefore, course outputs and recorded meetings between students and instructors may be uploaded to Blockchain as NFT’s. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of various Blockchain technologies' characteristics on the creative art process. The second goal is to provide students with Blockchain and NFT knowledge and abilities. It is suggested that using new technologies such as Blockchain and NFT’s to promote variety in curriculum and educational methods, as well as to make the art education process equal for all students.Article Citation - WoS: 1Alvar Aalto: Villa Mairea's Interior Design Analysis(Anadolu Univ, 2011) Ayalp, NurAlvar Aalto, with his unique designs, is one of the greatest architect in the field of architectural history. Review Collaboration and Scope Areas of Changing Co-Design Approaches in the Formation of Design Criteria(Karadeniz Technical University, 2020) Fakıbaba Dedeoğlu, Esin; Yalçın, MeryemNowadays, new trends see design education not as a discipline shaped by a perfectionist form approach; but as a collaborative holistic, sharing, and exploratory approach. The aim of this study is to develop a perspective on Furniture development and formation in today’s world within the innovative, collaborative holistic, ever-evolving process design approaches that have been developing and diversifying since the 90s. (Burnett 2009; Rylander 2009; Sanders & Stappers, 2008). It is not possible for a single design discipline to answer the scale or complexity of the design problems we face today and seek to provide solutions. Considering that experimental, virtual and real mixed areas will be designed in the future; it is not possible to ignore the fact that areas that work in collaboration with integrated disciplines in the field of design and work with an understanding of common gain will spread. Co-Design expertise/disciplines are involved in the design and production of furniture; many design disciplines such as Communication design, interface design, brand design, graphic design, digital design, system design, transformation design, organizational design and space design require simultaneous/joint/integrated work because of the effort to create the holistic values of design. By proposing a roadmap for the development of design-based professions, these forms of expansion create new areas of design activity where designers facilitate creative collaborations. The research method in the study in which qualitative research method is used can be defined as “explanatory case study”. In line with the purpose of the study, one of the qualitative data collection tools, “document analysis” technique was used.Article Citation - Scopus: 57Collaborative Digital Environments To Enhance the Creativity of Designers(Pergamon-Elsevier, 2015-01) Karakaya, Ahmet Fatih; Demirkan, HalimeThis study explores the interaction of the essential components of creativity and collaboration in a digitalenvironment in the design process. The framework is based on Amabile’s componential theory of creativ-ity, which is composed of three intra-individual components of creativity and the social environment. Thedigital environment as the social component of creativity provides the technical infrastructure for theanalysis of data related to creativity and collaboration. Protocol coding method is used for the analysisof the qualitative and quantitative data stored in The Modular Object Oriented Developmental LearningEnvironment (MOODLE) forum posts that were formed by the comments or critiques given during thecollaboration process by the team members, instructors or jury members. Findings indicate that thesocial environment component named as the reactivity to proposals is closely related to idea generationas the creative relevant process component and group interaction as the task motivation component.Furthermore, it is found that the number of sketches and design ideas produced through critiques arethe main design issues that enhance creativity in collaborative digital environments.Article Citation - WoS: 10Citation - Scopus: 6Consumer Perceptions and Functional Evaluations of Cash Desk Types in the Clothing Retail Context(Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., 2014-01) Yıldırım, Kemal; Ayalp, Nur; Gözen, Güner Aktaş; Hidayetoğlu, L.The purpose of this paper is to focus on assessing consumer perceptions and functional evaluations of store cash desks (Flat, L- and U-shaped) in the clothing retail context. H.The dynamic and complex nature of children's sense of physical environment (Lim, Barton, 2010) with respect to the location of the space concerning cultural conditions, relations, and parameters direct design criteria to meet pedagogic, physiologic, and biological needs and requirements of the children in the preschool interiors. This enquiry has grown out of the desire to examine the parameters, cultural aspects, dimensions, or contexts affecting the built environment in the preschool interiors where children spend most of their time out of their home. Conceptual components affecting the interior space of pre-school education centers are identified and based on literature review, interviews, surveys, observational data, and statistical concepts such as education models, socio-economic conditions, appreciation of adults, child-teacher-parent relations, and location related to culture. These contextual connections and relations with the interior environment shaped the body of the study. Based on the above-mentioned items, a research questionnaire was used in centers located in the epsilon ankaya and epsilon ayyolu regions of Ankara. Subjects were randomly selected from among the parents of these preschools' students. Accordingly, the research questionnaire was directed to a total of 200 respondents from 15 pre-school centers; these preschool education centers are the ones applying the Montessori education model, providing education in English and highlighting features like physical space comfort, etc. Those centers have maintained their corporate identity thanks to the above-counted features. Consequently, data has shown that the education model, socio-economic conditions, appreciation of adults, child-teacher-parent relations, and location have an indirect and direct bearing on parent perception of the preschool centers which affects the centers' formation of Interior spatial design.Conference Object Design of the Senses(Generative Design Lab of Politecnico di Milano University, 2018) Aslan, Şaha; Kızıltepe, FerhanSpace is not only a means to counter to a merely pragmatic function through its indicators but also acts as a means of producing emotions. While emotion and emotion production which can be considered as the area of interest of Plastic Arts, it has been seen that the conceptual studies started to be designed together with function within the last century. Nowadays, people want to consume more of the products that have a similar approach in parallel with their own lifestyle. This shift in people’s understanding of consumption has necessitated the designers to consider the conceptual expectations of consumers while seeking answers to be functional questions. Space is the interest of PHILISOPHY, AESTETICS and SCIENCE, as an expression of the idea it is carrying [SEMANTICS], the form it is being used for [PRAGMATIC] & the technology it is made of [SENTACTICS]. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, plants have numerous benefits for indoor environments. Research has shown that plants can purify the air, improve indoor air quality and have psychological and physiological benefits. In this research, it aims to figure out the extent of knowing the effects of indoor plants on organic chemicals emitted from furniture and decoration elements. For this purpose, 225 randomly selected people participated in the prepared research questionnaire. According to the results of the survey, it was determined that the 18-25 age group participants and the participants with postgraduate education had a higher level of knowledge about the effects of plants on DEPARCH 215 indoor pollutants compared to the participants in the other age and education groups. On the other hand, no significant difference was found between the evaluations of male and female participants regarding the effects of plants on indoor pollutants. When these results are examined in general, it is seen that the participants do not have enough information about the effects of indoor plants on the organic chemicals emitted from the furniture and decoration elements. As a result, it has been revealed that users should be informed about the effects of indoor plants on organic chemicals and awareness should be raised on this issue. And it has been reported that increasing the level of knowledge on this subject can provide significant contributions to human health.Article Effects on Users of the Seating Element Types in Cafes/Restaurants(Gazi University, 2017) Ayalp, Nur; Yıldırım Kemal; Çağatay, KubülayIn this study, the impact of different seating unit types on subjects' perceptional evaluation of cafe/restaurant environments has been examined.
