İnci; Bölükoğlu, Hülya İzBiodiversity refers to the variety of all life forms, namely plants, animals, microorganisms and their genetic material, within an ecosystem or worldwide. This term encompasses genetic diversity (genetic differences within a species), species diversity (number of different species) and ecosystem diversity (variety of different ecosystems or habitats). International Day for Biological Diversity is a global event celebrated every year on May 22nd and aims to raise awareness about the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. In 2024, social media posts made within the scope of this event have great importance in terms of visual communication. Visual content attracts attention more quickly and effectively than written content. Content is usually consumed quickly on social media platforms. Therefore, using visually appealing designs is important to attract the attention of the target audience and increase their engagement. Visual communication design helps to convey messages more effectively by simplifying complex information and making it easier to understand. Infographics, video content and graphical data presentations in particular make information understandable and attractive. This study aims to evaluate social media posts for the International Day for Biodiversity 2024 from a visual communication design perspective. Animated graphic designs were preferred in social media designs for the International Day for Biodiversity. Different language options were created to customize the target audience. In this way, the target audience was encouraged to re-share the message. In the teaser prepared for the International Day for Biodiversity 2024, the target audience is encouraged to participate with the phrase Share information about your event. #PartOfThePlan was preferred as the hashtag in the posts. In this context, a call for cooperation was made to stakeholders.Article Examining Knowledge and Retention Levels of Fine Arts' Students: Astudy on Basic Design Course With Wbcl(2013) Erkan, TolgaBu araştırmada, temel tasarım dersinde Web Tabanlı İşbirlikli Öğrenim modelinin kullanımının öğrencilerin bilgi düzeylerinin yükseltilmesi ve bilginin kalıcılık seviyesine sağladığı avantajlar incelenmektedir. Article An Extraordinary Leader: Queen Christina(MCSER MCSER-Mediterranean Center of Social and Educational Research, 2015-04) Karabacak, Zaliha İnciQueen Christina (Maria Christina Alexandra) (1626-1689) who marked the 17th century’s history of Sweden emerges as a major political actor. Accordingly poster is not only a tool that transmits a message, information or that introduces or advertises a product but also a visual cultural element. Just like other visual cultural elements, poster as well is in interaction with the society. In this two way interaction while society's culture, political and social perceptions, level of education, aesthetic tastes influence the production process of the poster, the posters too influence and transform the society. Poster artists and designers are producing studies sometimes affected by the society that they are within, and also sometimes intentionally reflecting the culture of the society that they are addressing. In this context in this study, reflections of the Anatolian culture in poster designs will be examined with visual examples. (C) 2013 The Authors. The study examines the contribution of creative industries and glocalization strategies to the resolution of the global-local conflict, by considering them together. In this study, the findings were analyzed by using the literature review and the survey method together. A total of 310 people, 145 men and 165 women, participated in the survey in Janury 2019. In the case of Turkey, the research shows that there is a positive correlation between the customer experience created by the global brand by considering the cultural, economic and political data of the local society and the level of ad appreciation.Article Transferring Our Cultural Heritage To the Next Generations Via Visual Arts Education(David Publishing, 2016-05) Kartopu, Seçil; Bölükoğlu, Hülya İzIt is well known that the customs and traditions shared and maintained in a society reflect the culture of that society and also that it is a society’s responsibility to convey its culture to the next generations.
