Mimari Tasarım Stüdyolarında Ankara'nın Geleceğini Kavramak

Abstract

Mimarlık okulları bulundukları kentle sürekli ilişki içindedir. Mimarlık öğrencisi kenti gözler, deneyimler ve kentten öğrenirkenaynı zamanda kent için çalışır, yeni tartışma alanları açar, mimari tasarım stüdyolarında kente dair düşünce ve projeler üretir. Ankara da ev sahipliği yaptığı mimarlık okulları için keşfedilmeye açık bir kaynak, deney alanı, kuşkusuz kayda değer bir araştırma konusudur. Diğer bir deyişle, özellikle Ankara’daki mimarlık okulları için kent, mimarlık eğitiminde rol alan önemli aktörlerden biridir. Bu bağlamda Dosya, mimarlık eğitiminin Ankara kenti ile kurduğu karşılıklı, dönüştürücü, üretken ve belki de zor olan bu ilişkiyi odağına alıyor. Dosya, Ankara’nın tasarım yoluyla nasıl araştırılıp, nasıl çalışıldığını incelerkenmimari tasarım stüdyolarında Ankara’nın – daha ziyade Ankara’nın geleceğinin nasıl ele alındığını kentteki mimarlık okullarının birikimleri aracılığıyla görünür kılmayı hedefIiyor. Dosya’da yer aldığı sırayla TOBB Ekonomi ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi, Başkent Üniversitesi, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent Üniversitesi,Gazi Üniversitesi, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, Atılım Üniversitesi ve Çankaya Üniversitesi Mimarlık Bölümlerinde yer alan mimari tasarım stüdyolarının Ankara’yı konu edindiği deneyimler sunuluyorbir yer ve zaman olarak gelecekle, Ankara’nın geleceğiyle ilişki kurmanın farklı yollarıkentin alternatif gelecekleri için üretilen projelermimarlık eğitimindeki güncel pedagojik yaklaşımlar olanca çeşitliği ve zenginliğiyle gözler önüne seriliyor.Architecture schools have continuous relationships with the cities in which they reside. While observing and experiencing the city, the architecture student works simultaneously for the city, opens new discussions, and produces ideas and projects about the city in architecture design studios. Ankara is also both an open source and experimental field, and undoubtedly a significant research topic for the architecture schools it hosts. The city is thus a major actor in architectural education, particularly for schools in Ankara. In this context, Dosya focuses on this reciprocal, transformative, productive but perhaps challenging relationship that architectural education has established with the city of Ankara. Dosya examines how Ankara is researched and studied through design. It also aims to reveal the ways that Ankara – rather the future of Ankara is handled by architectural design studios through the case projects of the architecture schools in the city. Papers included in this issue present the experiences of the architectural design studios on Ankara at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Başkent University, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University, Gazi University, Middle East Technical University, Atılım University and Çankaya University – according to their appearance in Dosya- with reference to different ways of relating to the future as a place and time, to the future of Ankarato projects produced for alternative futures of the citywhile expanding on current pedagogical approaches in architectural design education with all their diversity and richness.
